Originally from Mumbai, I now live in Hubli after getting married. As a house wife I had nothing to do other then looking after my home. After my kids grew up, I had time on my hands and decided to try fabric painting, crafts, and various other handy arts. This also helped me to kill my time... J I got this idea as i always tried my hands on crafts in my early childhood in Mumbai. Many women are compelled to leave all this hobbies after getting married but I started this only after getting married.
For about a year I just tried with fabric painting, later on I engaged my self with glass painting, sand painting, Paper quelling, wooden frames accompanied with ceramic work , candle arts and various other things. Although I like to be able to recognise the subject in my work, I try to ensure that the magic of the medium will influence its interpretation. I love exploiting all the available effects both from the chemistry of paints, only slightly mixed together, and the surface. That's what painting is about !! isn't it ??
